The Gold Museums's collection was declared a National Monument and is considered the largest of the world in its kind. Comprises about 34,000 pieces of gold and 20,000 objects of bone, stone, ceramics and textiles to Calima, Quimbaya, Muisca, Tairona, Sinu, Tolima, Malagana cultures among others.

The ground floor offers temporary anthropology and archeology exhibitions  , the second offers a tour of the archaeological regions highlighting their economy, goldsmith work techniques and different aspects related to the death. It exhibits poporos, masks, breastplates, pendants, necklaces, bracelets and hundreds of figures presented in showcases and demos. The third story explores the symbolism that had these parts for pre-Columbian cultures. The Golden Room displays in an atmosphere of mystery over 8,000 pieces of gold. Visit the museum here.
