The Institute of Tourism of Bogota, the unions of the tourist sector and operators of tourist and complementary services of Bogota, merged in order to present an organized offering of a cosmopolitan city.
Based on an agreement of wills we looked for the generation of benefits to the visitors in Bogota (national and international) during weekends. By doing so we try to motivate them to visit the city-region and thus to fortify the tourist development of the city. A city project summons and joints the private and governmental efforts to strengthen Bogota as an innovating destination by means of its accommodation, tourist, gastronomical, cultural, and commercial and haute couture services.
"Bogotá on weekend" is a city project that develops diversified and attractive products of a first class tourist destination. It is a project that promotes a more productive and comprehensive city-region. It is a project to live and to enjoy Bogotá with style, as the best of the destinations to discover and the best one of the hosts.
It is a program of tourist benefits designed by both the municipal and private tourist sector. It focuses on national and foreign visitors and seeks to guarantee a special treatment to those who stay in Bogotá on weekend.
